Ryanair Group CEO Michael O'Leary has called Frontier Airlines' new blocked middle seat product "bullsht." The US ultra-low-cost carrier recently revealed that it would block the middle seat of its first two rows, charging passengers extra for having an empty seat next to them.

Michael O'Leary helped define today's low-cost carrier industry. He argues that Frontier Airlines will lose more money from extra passengers who do not buy ancillary products than they will gain from charging for the up-front service. O'Leary commented to Simple Flying on the sidelines of the A4E conference in Brussels yesterday.
