Vietjet Welcomes Lunar New Year With Commencement Of Chengdu Flights
Vietjet has launched a new daily route between Ho Chi Minh and Chengdu, offering Asian travelers a new travel option for the Spring holidays.
Passengers on Vietjet flights were greeted with well-wishes and lucky money in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
The airline is currently offering $0 fares on select days for international routes, along with free SkyCare travel insurance.
Vietjet has launched a new route between Ho Chi Minh and Chengdu to mark the beginning of the Lunar New Year. Flights are available daily, and the airline is offering $0 fares across its international network on select days.
Vietjet inaugurates Chengdu route
The Vietnamese low-cost carrier continues its expansion with the addition of daily flights between Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU). The first flight took place on October 10, the first day of the Lunar New Year.
At a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh, several leading officials, including Wei Huaxiang, Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, and Michael Hickey, Vietjetās Chief Operating Officer, greeted passengers boarding the inaugural flight.
Vietjet said,
"The new service expects to offer Asian travelers a new travel option for the Spring holidays. It also further strengthens the air connectivity of Vietnam and China while promoting trade and tourism between two countries and in the region."
