After what has become a nearly 16-year hiatus, scheduled commercial flights will be returning to Córdoba Airport (ODB). Air Nostrum, a regional affiliate of Spanish legacy carrier Iberia (often branded as Iberia Regional), is set to commence seasonal services to Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) and Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) this upcoming summer.

Since FlySur, a short-lived Spanish regional carrier, abandoned the airport in 2008, the facility has been without scheduled commercial service. The airline operated three short-haul connections to Vigo, Barcelona, and Bilbao. For over a decade and a half, while lacking commercial flights, the airport did not sit idle, with general aviation aircraft and air taxis flying in and out regularly. With scheduled services returning, we believe it is an excellent time to take a deeper look at this fascinating facility.
